Psychedelic Community Building

If you are curious about starting a local psychedelic community or affinity group in your area, this is the workshop for you! We will be covering the importance of community during the psychedelic renaissance, tips for building community, and the challenges that one can face. By the end of the workshop, you will gain a foundation on how to build a thriving psychedelic community that provides education, connection, and harm-reduction.

Lauren is a holistically-minded behavior analyst with over twenty years working with a neurodivergent population. She is the founder of the Jersey City Psychedelic Society and a recent graduate of Psychedelic Today’s Vital Program- a year long training program in the elements of psychedelic therapy and integration.

Jeanie is the founder of the Psychedelic Access Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit that sponsors individuals for psychedelic healing opportunities who otherwise would not be able to afford access. She has also been involved in grassroots psychedelic community building in NYC and Pennsylvania, founding and growing the Lehigh Valley Psychedelic Society

“We are the Medicine” Documentary Screening

“We Are The Medicine” explores the reemergence of therapeutic and ceremonial psychedelic medicine through the experiences of People of Color – from the visible and invisible scars of combat veterans to people battling substance use issues, and a family reunion 20 years and two continents in the making. This documentary film examines the systemic challenges People of Color confront in order to mend their emotional and physical wounds, and the impact of psychedelic medicine on individual and communal healing.

Through his nearly two decade long career in television, Esteban Serrano is a storyteller. From his early days at MTV in 2004 producing the iconic TRL, to his present days at the same network helping to launch Yo! MTV Raps in Asia, The United Kingdom and more, it’s the stories that drive him. Esteban’s storytelling talents lead to television audiences first glimpse of super stars like Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz and more. His directorial debut came in the form of a music video for Chris Brown’s “Beautiful People” single from his Grammy award winning album F.A.M.E. The documentary style music video has more than a hundred million views and is credited for starting a “doc style” music video trend. Serrano has since started developing shows that tell the stories of world renowned chefs, cannabis entrepreneurs and fine artists as his career as a storyteller continues.

Victor Alfonso Cabral, LSW (He/Him) is a collaborative and strategic Afro-Latinx leader who is committed to making an impact in his community and beyond. Victor serves as the Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs for Fluence Training. Before joining Fluence, Victor served as Deputy Director for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of Advocacy and Reform where he co-led the implementation of the Trauma-Informed Pennsylvania Plan, helped establish the first Racial Day of Healing in Pennsylvania history, and developed free trauma training for Pennsylvanians. He is trained in Level 1 Internal Family Systems through Black Therapists Rock, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and psychedelic harm reduction and integration (PHRI). Victor works to center BIPOC voices in the field of psychedelics by highlighting BIPOC stories in policy & advocacy efforts, art, and science. He is currently working on a documentary film titled ‘We Are The Medicine’ which explores the re-emergence of psychedelics from the perspective of Black, Indigenous, and people of color. Victor is listed on Students for Sensible Drug Policy’s list of “40 Under 40 Outstanding BIPOC Leaders in Drug Policy in the United States” for his work in psychedelic policy and received the 2022 Emerging Social Work Leader Award from the National Association of Social Workers.

Sound Session with Monica Mullen

Take a moment to settle the mind, calm the body, become aware of the breath and listen deeply to the complex sounds of the gong.  Engage with the present moment to create an inner atmosphere to be receptive to the expansion of consciousness. We are vibrational beings; let’s become acutely aware of that through the vibrations of the 45 minute gong meditation with Monica. Come with an open heart and a curious mind. 
Monica fell in love with sound therapy in 2019 after a deep inner journey and has been following the sound since. Studying with some of the most educated sound practitioners in the world, she has been tuning herself as the instrument to create a vibrational soundscape for you to explore within yourself. Monica teaches sound in charming Lancaster, PA offering gong and singing bowl workshops, assistant teaches with Lana Ryder at the School of Harmonic Therapy, leads a weekly meditation group, is a full time sound therapist for private and group unassisted sound meditations and 6.5 hour assisted sound ceremonies. Her mission is to empower Devoted Disciples of Love with spiritual training exercises that nurture skills to navigate this vibrational realm and activate their virtuous superpowers to further the Kingdom of Love.

Ketamine therapy, Neuroplasticity and Pain Management

Samuel Grodofsky, MD, is a the founder of two independent medical practices: Genesis Ketamine Centers and Philadelphia Smart Pain & Wellness. His practices have offices in Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Pa, Allentown, Pa and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is double board-certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology and received his training at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed medical school at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He was awarded the Sir James Young Simpson Award in Residency for showing promise in the field of pain management. His approach to care is multidisciplinary in nature and integrates physical therapy, psychological care, interventional and medical pain management. He has developed a novel treatment program called Gestalt Pain Management, which combines education, psychotherapy, meditation, virtual reality, and ketamine therapy to promote neuroplastic changes in the brain as an effective approach to managing the most challenging chronic pain conditions.

Internal Family Systems (IFS), Ketamine and PAT for Depression

Gail Serruya, MD, Founder and Medical Director of Voyage Healing, is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in multiple therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), hypnosis, and IFS (internal family systems). In addition to being empathic and collaborative, Dr. Serruya listens closely to her patients, as they are the true experts on their experience. Dr. Serruya is fascinated and inspired by the human capacity to grow toward health and healing under the right conditions.

Dr. Serruya completed her residency at Brown University and the University of Pennsylvania and did a fellowship year with Dr. Aaron Beck, specializing in CBT for psychosis. She has vast experience treating anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar, attention deficit disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and many other mental health conditions.

Dr. Serruya has taken multiple courses on ketamine, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), and psychedelic medicine through leading institutes like PRATI (Psychedelic Research and Training Institute), Healing Realms, Polaris, ASKP3 (American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists & Practitioners), Fluence, the Ketamine Training Center, and SoundMind of Philadelphia. In addition, she currently serves on the ASKP3 Therapist Advisory Panel Committee and is excited to continue her training at the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research through the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2022/2023.

Rick Lybarger is the founder of Wisdom Won Breath Coaching and Energy Healing in Selinsgrove, PA. With over 5 years of experience in guiding and performing healings, Rick brings a unique perspective to his practice, drawing from his successful 26-year career as a financial planner. Rick's breath coaching service is certified by Breath Master's Inc and his spiritual and energy healings through the Modern Mystery School INT. These schools have helped ensure a high level of professionalism and expertise. Through conscious connected breathing techniques, Rick guides his clients in accessing their breath as a powerful tool for self-awareness, stress reduction, improved focus, boosted energy levels, and emotional healing.

In addition to breath coaching, Rick incorporates various other energy healing modalities into his holistic approach. As a Men's Group Facilitator, he creates a supportive space for men to explore their emotions, develop authentic connections, and foster personal growth. He is also a Life Activation Practitioner, Life Activation is a powerful energy healing technique derived from ancient mystery schools. It assists individuals in connecting with their life purpose, enhancing their spiritual abilities, and activating their dormant potential. Through this activation, clients may experience increased vitality, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose in their lives.
